From what I understand is they weld up the existing mounting holes and redrill them so they mount more inward. I'm going to get a set and send the to Ireland Engineering for modification. PM AceAndrew, he used to work at Ireland and now does his own thing. He is very familiar with the process.

If you don't do it...the pads wear funny and you build a ridge on the pads and in my case warped the rotors...Now I feel the vibration under braking. There is a reason they do it...lol..its not just for looks. Now I am going to replace my rotors and calipers with ones that had the holes relocated.

I'm no expert...number one...great job at trying it! "Built not bought" is my motto. I have a 38 and got the Canon intake for a few reasons. My mechanic at the time said it would make installations ALOT easier as well as tuning. How correct is this? I dunno...but I do know that the weber 38 is notorious for being hard to "dial in" and I would bet that maybe this is due to the intake...Try it and report back.

Looks too nice...lol...should have went for an uglier older looking stereo...I used to have one that fit over the face of the entire radio and looked like an old AM radio...
