  1. Tristan, I'm in Mannheim. You can email me from here.Later.
  2. visionaut in Denver, Colorado-Send your inquiry here,info@bmw02.de.My email was sent in English also.Yvonne is there for English support on Monday and Thursday.I mailed them this morning to say I was headed their way,and she was there to translate.I was about 45 min late because of traffic.Good people.
  3. Chuck, I did another search and found that too.I sent it to him.KW being in Germany,he should be able to get the lowdown.
  4. What a long(550 mi. RT) drive.Too much construction and sspeed zones.Nice small well stocked place.BMW dealer rat across the street too. While discussing(Yvonne translating) parts I wanted for my car,he showed me some sway bars.I didn't need any,as I have suspension techniques bars.Herr Cahsel has been trying to get those, but has not been able to get in touch with the company.I did some searches tonight, and couldn't find anything either.Plenty of places that sell their stuff, but not the producer of the bars.Does anyone have a direct contact with ST?Could you post it here, send to me,or directly to him?Had my camera, but didn't take any pics.TIA.
  5. here is the diff link- http://www.data.bmrparts.com/bmwparts/17739218163523U.html
  6. jerry The guy i got my xmsn from is not my mechanic. He is a parts dealer. He said he could get parts, but i don't know yet if he means just the seal that is leaking,or the internal parts also.I am in Germany,so maybe this is possible.I will have to wait and see. When I drop off my xmsn,I will find out more.I saw a site in the USA that had the diff.I'll let you know about that if I can find it again.
  7. I was checkin' all that stuff out today as I was removing the CR from my car.As Clydeg pointed out,the rod is longer,so I can see where it would shorten the throws.Rear seal is leaking pretty bad.I talked to the guy I bought it from and he says he can get the parts to rebuild it,which was a huge suprise to me, as I thought internal parts were NLA.I have it out and will drop it off tomorrow or Monday.Still need to find a 3:45 diff to go along with it.Would be nice to have a freshly rebuilt CR 5 with shorter throws. We shall see. Thanks for the info.
  8. winstonj,I emailed the guy that that article is about before I posted here.I also have an 2002 Mcoupe,so knew about Ron and that article. He said he didn't have any dealings with 02's,so I was out of luck there. Clydeg,I'm guessing that yours is from an E21.The one I have is from an 02 Turbo.Don't know if this makes much of a difference.I do still have the 4 speed available,so I will look into what you wrote about today(already Friday for me). Thanks for the help guy's,and don't be shy if you find something else.Thanks.
  9. I just finished installing my CR gb today, and was wondering if there is a short shifter for it.It shifts smoothly,no funny noises, just the throws are pretty long.Anyone got any info on this?
  10. If you look on the inside of the wheel, they are manufactured by Ronal for Alpina.
  11. For anyone that have these installed, did you do an alignment before or after they were installed? How did it affect your setup?Any other issues that need to be addressed once they were installed?

  13. Has anyone here purchased the ultimate weatherstrip kit from Bimmer Parts? Is it the right stuff.Mine is '73 Euro 02. Brad
  14. Looks like no one thinks the 3:64 is a good idea.Guess I will have to try some different set ups and see what feels good. Thanks for the input guys. Brad
  15. Is that the diff with 40% lockup?I might be able to get a 3.45.Have to wait until sometime next week to find out for sure.Is there anything lower than a 3.45.Just for grins, what is a realistic top end for this setup.Got a link for a gear ratio chart? Thanks for the reply.
  16. To get the best performance out the car.Combined Autobahn, city, and some track use.I know about the 3.64,and 3.90(1?).Heard today there is a 3.45 from a 2002 turbo.Anyone got any info on this?Motor will have about 160-170hp.Suspension and brakes are done, too. Brad
