  1. Those should be from the BMW dealer, or google the part numbers from other sources sorry bout that!
  2. Perhaps this may help, maybe shave a couple down. RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog WWW.REALOEM.COM BMW parts 1502-2002tii 2002turbo Side shaft/wheel bearings
  3. The ribbed flange on that lock nut is meant for high vibration resistance such as drivelines or suspensions. I believe a nylock nut would be sufficient for the steering wheel application. For some reason BMW retrofitted the flange style as before they were nyloc.
  4. Get a vernier caliper measure diameter across the spindle to find either 12 or 14 mm by 1.5 pitch thread. As long as the initial threads your pic shoes engage lock it down.
  5. Dont throw away those correct roundel gas caps or buy a new crappy cap just to get a gasket. I ordered a few and they fit and function very well, Thanks for taking the time to create these!!
  6. IMHO.... May I suggest jack stands at the front and rear of the car? The wood is precarious.
  7. 61 13 1 355 210 Plug for wiring 12 pins fits for all models and years of manufacturing you need 1 for 1 car WWW.WALLOTHNESCH.COM Plug for wiring 12 pins fits for all models and years of manufacturing you need 1 for 1 car
  8. Yes, you should be able to reuse the castle nut if serviceable and use a new cotter pin. Lock nuts are generally one time use.
  9. The green rear defroster glass for the 2002 @ W/N is Dora glass made in Turkey. https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/vehicle-trim-glasses/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/catalog-picture-51-28.html
  10. Thanks! So no water jackets to look for then correct?
  11. Before installing a fresh head looking for a lil advice on head bolt sealer near water jacket area and where that is. I remember trying to get a head bolt through a head bolt hole that had a real hocker of thread sealer on it out of a Tii 121 head once and it was a biatch. It had some really thick thread sealer on it and I forgot which bolt had the water jacket and which might have needed it if any. Any hints thanks!
  12. You may want to replace those rubber bushings in the case front with delrin or polyurethane the rubber gets flimsy rather quickly. Your call tho.
  13. Grab 2 screwdrivers or plastic trim tools and gently wobble the fan and pulley off of the keyway and shaft it should come right off perhaps get some penetrating oil first, once you see any wobbling try using your hand to wobble it the rest of the way off. Note: assure the key is still pressed in the slot.
  14. Verify the diameter of the bolts you currently car has on the diff output flanges there are 8mm on the early cars and 10 mm on the cars from 74. You may want a spacer/diff flange bolt kit for the differential output flanges as the diff is slightly narrower than the 2002. Will save the life of the CV joints, or use a 320I inner CV joint. Don`t forget to use limited slip oil when replacing the oil in it. Verify break away torque there are various forum posts relating to that in this forum or online.
  15. Nice going there! Hopefully the output shaft splines are in good order.
  16. Thanks to a great care taker!! Happy Birthday Ludwig!!
  17. Without all the technicals it all comes down to what you really want. Evaluate, rationalize then stay on plan with some enhancements if able to. Make it so.
  18. Firstly superb job on that car, also in your country they built up the car as a (CKD) "country knock down" kit and your grandpa could actually watch it being built and have something to say while it was now that is very cool. Good luck and have lots of fun with your completed gem.
  19. Maybe someone in the want ads might have a decent used or nos one never hurts to try. You also need some sort of a screen on the bottom of that sender maybe rattling around in the tank.
  20. Generally observe the following key areas : In case you did not know, there are a couple differences on the fuel tanks early round tail light car vs later square tail light cars...Tii injected/and carburated as well as trunk floor bolt hole locations and length of the fuel sender early 200 mm is for 46 liter early cars vs 223mm for 51 liter late cars. Looks like you have a very early tank 1st series.....the filler neck looks very short so look into that as the mid year cars have longer ones.
  21. Imho replace the tank. You may have more bucks attempting to repair than buying either good used or reproduced one.
  22. You could try to position/default the switch on the dome light to off at all times. and disconnect negative on your battery while not around the car. Get a CTEK or something similar trickle charger good stuff.
