  2. For Sale 2 NEW rear patch panels. I'd like to sell them as a pair. I painted one red to see how color looked. $30 each?? I'm in NC, near Charlotte.][/img]
  3. I've got an e21 Limited Slip Differential for sale. It's in good shape. I purchased it off of someone on this board maybe 6 years ago and still havent done anything with it. I'd like to get $400 for it. I will help as much as I can with shipping. SOLD
  4. My "b" Blinker light has been on as long as i can remember. Not the brake "b" but the blinker indicator. Steady on, no blinky, never. The blinkers work, and I really havent worried too much about it until now. Now, when the ignition is OFF, the blinker circuit is apparently active, and my blinkers work, and the indicator is lit, constantly, with the key off. Any ideas as to where to start looking? TIA Steve P. in NC
  5. I just bought a '75 ($300) which has been sitting outside since 1994. The PO says his PO had an engine rebuild around 1992. I put fresh gas, plugs, points, cap in, cleaned it up a little and it fired up pretty easily. Here's what is happening........ The car starts and runs great, sounds quiet, and idles fine with absolutely NO smoke while the car is still cold. When the car warms up to operating temperature it smokes like crazy. The smoke is bluish. It is not head gasket smoke, but it doesn't smell like regular oil smoke (it is really musty/rusty smelling) Any ideas what is going on ? TIA Steve P in NC[/img]
  6. They look odd, but I kinda like 'em. Steve P. in NC
  7. Here's what you get when you mix cold temperature + 20w50 oil + not lettting the engine warm up. This happened a few years ago just a few hundred feet down the road from my driveway. The Mahle filter was installed properly, but the seal just gave up the ghost. As CD sez........these cars produce a LOT of oil pressure cold.

  9. Yep, I finally got the motor out and it's sitting on a stand waiting to be put in a different car. I did post the same question a few years ago, but i got NO RESPONSES. Thanks for the insight, I don't understand the cam #'s. I just know that this one doesn't match anything from schrick, which is what most people seem to be using. Thanks again Steve
  10. I have an engine which was rebuilt ~15 years ago. ~5000 miles since rebuild. The only info I have is what the po who had the work done wrote in the service book. Forged 10:1 pistons.....Reed Cam (profile below)...Heavy valve spring caps & retainers, oversized stainless valves......balanced & blueprinted including flywheel.......line bored...crankshaft turned & nitrated.... Can anyone help me decipher the cam profile? Duration seems short, exhaust & intake are different durations. Maybe it is hi-lift? Anybody have a clue how mild or hot this cam is? TIA Steve P in NC
  11. I have used it in several cars/trucks over the years. If used properly, you will not have any problems. SHAKE WELL before using. I also agree that the old copper filling type was a mess. STeve P. in NC P.S. SHAKE WELL before using
  12. Don't do it!! I have an older set of Korman flares that I purchased from someone else a couple of years ago. The fit and finish is very poor. I had to order an air dam, so a few months ago, I figured I'd get one from Korman that matched. It is going to take me several hours to get it anywhere near paintable. There are GOBS of resin all over the front surface and the edges are kinda wavy. I think they are shipped straight from the fiberglass shop to the customers and maybe arent inspected by the guys at korman. They burnt me on shipping too. If my son ever gives me my camera back, I could send/post pictures. HTH Steve P. in NC

  15. I found this company which looks like they may be a good source for race wheels. http://www.bassettwheel.com/legends_mini.htmlThese are NOT DOT LEGAL, so don't get any big ideas about running them on the street. It looks like they have any width/offset you could want in a 4x100 pattern. Steve P. in NC
