    I have one of the ones pelican sold, same as the black ones previously available like your example photo, but be warned that the spring tension is way less than the OEM zinc plated one I got in the 90s.

    There are complete component kits with worm and roller available but they require reaming new bushings and hand sizing shims to fit. I have an extra one if they have gone nla.

    Thats about what I thought but if that's based on the registry, theres a lower vin with a June date and higher vins with april dates so my trust went out the window!

    Yes, I checked the register. I found that the vins on either side of my '73 2591342 which I bought 45 years ago are not chronologically accurate. While I await a response from Classic to confirm, and knowing that the production date is most likely between april and june '73, I thought I'd try here to interpolate a date if anyone else with a vin close to mine has an accurate date from Classic so I don't miss the birthday. Thanks for your help! Dave

    I bought 3/16 abs sheet and solvent weld pieces of it to the top with gussets down the side.

    If I remember correctly, we needed to provide a 13" spare for a car with Volvo brakes, E21 steelies hit the caliper but the turbine e21 alloys cleared them

    I got a roll of grey butyl 1" sealing ribbon, used gasket punches to make a set. Also used on rear chrome bumper brackets
