  1. Look again......here https://www.bmw2002faq.com/colors/sienabraun-r21/
  2. Block 5476934 is from a late 1977 or early 1978 320i Auto (49 state).
  3. Treated the driver to an amber nectar (or two) today to celebrate.
  4. It's true! It sat at the Dealer for 10 months before being sold.
  5. Manufactured 9th Nov 1973 and delivered to BMW Concessionaires G.B. Ltd., London 19th Nov 1973. It was originally sold by Eric G. Hunt Ltd, a BMW dealership in Bramhope, Leeds (UK) to its first owner (Mrs. Ivy Green) on 7th September 1974. In 1984 it passed to its 2nd owner in London, and then I purchased the car (£800) in Bournemouth on 23rd July 1986. After a 10 year storage, it was imported to the US in 2000 and joined me in Texas. It has been a proper Tourer - not only UK and Belgium, but various events in Texas, a vacation to Las Vegas, several trips to Bo's events in Arkansas and in 2009 a 2600 rountrip to the Vintage, NC. 2014 we moved to Manchester, Tennessee and in 2016 a needed refurbishment was done locally and now she looks real good. Like me, she has now retired from events but takes me (weather permitting) a couple times a week to the local inn.
  6. Correct. In 2009 it was in Crewkerne, Somerset, for sale at £40k In 2010, 2002AD had it for sale at $75k (still in the UK though) In 2011 for sale at Munich Legends, London at £30k. This is the first time I've heard of it since then.
  7. Silly question. Was Nevada an available colour choice in 1973?
  8. Put your second clamp across the rear opening and close it in.......then 'nail' it.
  9. Steve, that's how we recognise a car that's been resto'd by Oldenzaal. They put them on ALL '02s irrespective of build date.
  10. Amazing - two bidders took the price from $57k to $105k. Can this be seen as a realistic price?
  11. 31 33 1 106 059 = 20mm thick. According to parts book used on most '02s up to model 73 incl E3 & E9 31 33 1 113 721 = 12mm thick. According to parts book used on 02s from model 73 incl E3 My UK delivered Nov 1973 RHD Touring had them.
  12. Seams showing between nose panel and fenders above headlights would indicate the car is NOT all original. Still, good looking though.
  13. Get a hold of '0nly02' (Chris Willett) at Sin City Bmw, Las Vegas. He had the car around 2007? and I believe it was him that painted the car Imola Red with Black roof. He may have a little history on it for you.
  14. FYI: Those spacers were on all '02s, Euros as well.
  15. The first post was strange, but, normal for Mr. Alexander.
  16. Was sold on Ebay September 2013 in St. Louis, MO. It looked a little better then (pics below). The car would have been manufactured circa Nov/Dec 1969.
  17. Those holes look a bit DIY. Maybe a pre- 74/76 trunk lid modified?
  18. Whilst it was many moons ago, i bought a pair of Tan E21 Recaros from Dave Varco. Apparently he is still in the business. https://www.2002parts.com/purchase-vintage-recaro-seats Pic of mine FWIW
  19. Here's the previous ad before the ones above. Sold for $4500 late September. https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/853160389347249/?media_id=4&ref=share_attachment The Terre Haute sale popped up a few days later (for $8900) and it was noted as the fastest flip in history😂. The Lyons, MI sale could be a pal of the 2nd Seller trying to be under the radar, OR, a scam? I guess the car is, in fact, in Terre Haute.
  20. Interesting VIN plate. Appears to have been worked on when compared to an original one 2 numbers before.
  21. I contacted the Seller via Craigslist a week or so ago to advise him of what he has. He seemed reluctant to accept. Maybe now a few more people have talked to him he his realising. I think the best for the car is parting it out. Below is the VIN plate that was included in the original Ad & the very original looking 1974-6 trunk.
  22. Been to the one in Nashville. Had many pseudo foreign treats that bore little resemblance (& flavour) to the represented Country.
  23. I need whatever you're drinking! Maybe I'll understand you then.
