  1. Well, I guess I’ll never have one of those in my car. John
  2. Who is all going? i know there are threads on FB but I thought I’d start one here. Im leaving Cleveland mid morning on Thursday. I’ll be trailering straight down the 77. Who’s in? john
  3. Do you have the original subframe bolts? Just add the thickness of the bar spacer. Front and rear. That or call IE. John
  4. Yea, one of the greatest things about these cars was the price of admission. Now the e30’s are getting expensive. I had just figured out the e30 320is thing and then,,,, boom went the prices! john
  5. I figured everyone would know what I was referring to. I guess not. John
  6. Dang! thats all I have to say. John
  7. Drove it! Man that thing pulls hard past 7K! Someone has to teach me how to set up acceleration enrichment in Tunerstudio. Other than that it’s running great! John
  8. I had a an LC1 for a while then it got all wonky. I’m using an AEM all in one unit now and it works very well. John
  9. I had a set of air horns back in the day. +1 fr the Fiame horns. However I now run the Hella Supertones. No they aren’t air horns but they are loud and sound European. John
  10. Dang. Had to do an email search to see if I registered. I did. Now on to get the time off! john
  11. From what I know the towing capacity of the X5 (35d since thats what I'm looking at) is like 6000 lbs with the factory hitch. The Curt hitch is rated to 7700 and 600 lb tung weight. That's the same as my old (and the new one I can buy) TDi Touareg. The TD6 Range Rover Sport is also at 7700 and 600 (actually a hair more). Incidentally my 2011 328 Xdrive 6 sp manual is rated for 1600, 3600 with trailer brakes. I'm on the fence about putting an Execuhitch on my e91 and getting the trailer module to make brakes work. However I know that would be at the limit with my 2002 on a steel trailer. John
  12. Great video. Don’t think I’ve seen it before. John
  13. The Airstream people call this filiform corrosion. It actually starts in one spot under the clear and then spreads from there. I would run them till is pisses me off then I’d get someone to sand or strip the clear and then polish the lips again. Then finish the wheel the way you want. John
  14. They were made by Turboglass. They have been out of biz since the 70’s AFAIK. They look to me to be a copy of Touring Car flairs made back in the day. I think even BBS sold a set like them. Chasle I think sells similar ones. I know they sell the front spoiler. John
  15. Metric Mechanic one inch racing size solid sway bar. Need to remove a windshield from from a rusty car? Put this sewer pipe size sway bar on and watch your car twist! Ask me how I know! No end links (I found one original and the VW ones they used) you will have to make your own. MM used tie rod ends and some bushings back in the day. I might have one of them I’ll include it if I find it. Price does NOT include shipping. John
  16. I have a set of the CF hood and trunk lid from the original group buy I’m thinking about selling. I really don’t want to ship them. Im in Cleveland. John
  17. I’d really connect the front and rear and another diagonal. You don’t want it moving forwards or backwards and falling down. And as a reply to your earlier question, the subframe bolts sank into that 4X4 and the front just rested on the rails. Yes they put it on a rotisserie to get the bottom. John
  18. Where can I find a place that widens aluminum wheels. Say, for example I find a cool set of BBS RA wheels but they are waaaay too skinny. I’d like them to be 9 or 10 inches wide. Anyone? Buler? john
