  2. That said, $500 for a used distributor? I'm rich!! Now, I would be careful buying a used distributor without inspection in case the bushings are worn.

Is my starter on its way out?

UPDATE: something is not right... So i finally received new intake runner gaskets (3&4) and proceeded to put it all back together. also replaced + and - battery cables as the + wouldn't reach and the - was pretty old and oily. I had done a test start ( fuel pump fuse pulled) before putting the runners back and it seemed to engage fine with no weird noises. well, after putting it all back together it started up fine once fuel got where it needed, but i'm getting a weird knock or transmission related sound when i try to move fwd/ backwards and after I shut it down I'll get a few clunks. When in neutral, there is no other noise. I did lose one of the starter nuts when trying to reattach them and lost it. Put another one on and starter appears secure. what am i missing? or did something else just happen to fail after I put it all back together. thanks, Baron

    Cooling System Flush

I haven't used that product but I have found that back flushing with water for a while will help it to work better I pull the block drain and radiator hoses then stick a nozzle like this in the block drain and wiggle it around until the drain water runs clear. 4 bucks at home depot Etc.

    Cooling System Flush

I'm not familiar with this but bet it works well. Most 2002 owners never drain the block- only the radiator.

You shared my old picture of my tii back when I tried using a different pump. Note how close the pump fits between the cv joint and hard brake line.

    5 speed swap clutch issues

I think what you are seeing as chewed up is a bit of grease on the hub that transferred from the input splines, and some on the collar which also had a thin coat on it. I will be back to it today and take another look though. As far as pushrod length, I don’t know what proper length should be so it’s hard to tell if it’s the right one. Thank you you again for all the input!

How about the length of the slave cylinder rod? I don't know what the length should be, but sometimes manufacturers substitute "universal" sizes, which may not be what you need. If it is too short, then you may not be getting enough travel to fully disconnect the clutch.

    I.E Rad drain bung size

It's this size. Same as a fan temp switch.

Good eye Nick, sure does look like something not right there, it looks like it maybe the throw out bearing guide has something on it also.
  21. I am about to do bi annual cooling system flush and wanting to use THERMOCURE product by EVAPORUST. Have read a lot positive reviews used to flush cooling system on modern and classic cars. Like to know if anyone used this product on 02's before and their experience and/or your opinion Thanks

    tii fuel line routing

More pics. The hard fuel line to the engine compartment runs along the left side, behind the rocker, to the frame rail and up to the radiator/fuel filter. @OriginalOwner Carl, Maybe they stopped using the wire hose clamp in 74. Every old pic I see the wire is in place. Trick: I made one out of a s/s bicycle spoke.
