I'm trying to find new/used parts and when you go to the store the layout it is all over the place and choked full of ads. Eventually you can find exactly two categories: Engine and Suspension. In those theres virtually nothing and there is no way to search. A generic search returns 1700 various forums, pots, blogs etc for "hard brake line". I know people that would love to make this store a better resource for everyone to buy and sell. Help!

All - These were pulled off my car because I don't need them. They are almost brand new. An oil catch can and coolant overflow catch can. I don't know what they are worth.

I recently purchased a striped down 1971 BMW 2002. A number of parts came with it, but there are many missing. At at the moment I have the chance to buy a 1973 E3 3.0s Sedan which is complete, running, but rusted. My question is, would I be able to use many of the parts from the E3 in the restoration of my 2002?

Just asking if anyone has any experience with this parts seller. He has a FB page saying he is from Corvallis Oregon. He says he has parts and is buying a stash of 02s he found and will be parting them out. I questioned him on some parts he sent me pictures of and he said he has not purchased the cars yet. Just want to make sure its not someone shady as the interactions so far just feel strange. Stuart

Evening, I finally got my hands on a tii air cleaner, but alas, it was missing the mounts. Could I bother someone for dimensions. I get the idea from the diagrams, and some overly expensive ebay pics, but am missing dimensions. They seem to have gone NLA 12 and 15 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=2583-USA---114-BMW-2002tii&diagId=13_0690 I should be able to plasma cut some, and would be willing to share the cad models for others once complete (or cut some for a small fee) probably be a little back and forth. Thanks for any help you can give Allan

I have a 2002 square tail light car that needs a new home. It is a parts car with good glass. It has a manual sunroof. It does have some rust at the front turn signals and down on the lower quarters. No motor but there is a transmission. There are some dents and dings. Price is $800 obo. I would like to send it to a new home rather than the scrap yard. I can take more pictures and try to answer all questions to the best of my ability. There is NO title. Will be sold on a bill of sale only. If you are a KS resident you can easily get an antique title.

Hi, well it is an overcast saturday in the mid-atlantic region but a 12 year long run of the same car show is on the calendar and i will go. no rain where i am but within ten miles of the show it is misting and raining, depending which cornfield i am passing. the Deutsche Classic is a great All German Show in Oley PA. just in case you are close and want to try it next year. so the cars were great but wet. the food was good. my shoes were wet. my daughter was having fun with the camera. i will post those later. so my regular thing is to check out the cars and then circle the parts area like a buzzard. there was way too much VW stuff. but....... one guy sitting quietly was surrounded by totes of parts in bags and boxes. i like the old packaging just of the printing. so in i dive with sophia hovering and questioning some of the parts. i tried to be quiet so the guy might not figure me out so quick. but after a while i was explaining to the guy what most of the parts were. i also noticed about five people watching the BMW savant hold up parts and explain the use or where it goes. i have got to tone it down some how, sophia just rolls her eyes at me and lets me bumble on. so the following four pictures show some of the finds.

So I've been shopping on WN and creating quite a list. I've been using all sorts of sources including Blunt, PartsGeek and RealOEM to create my spreadsheet as to who's got what and how much they charge. It dawned on me that WN or any of them might not be OEM replacements, but aftermarket parts. On certain parts like door seals and the like, I want to be certain to go OEM to avoid any issues. Are they OEM? How do you tell if some are and some aren't? The part numbers align, but before I go spend a few grand on parts, I want to know for sure. RealOEM is clearly more expensive on almost everything...is this because they actually are OEM? Please educate me... Thanks Nick

Beyond off topic perhaps, but a possible opportunity to someone. I just received a note from a close friend who is cleaning out the shop of his uncle who was a MM guy. They have all kinds of parts and have no idea who might need them. Do any of you know anyone who admits to being a MM fan

Hello SoCal 02's - I've acquired a 1974 2002 that runs well and looks great. I'm not a neophyte to car work - I've got a degree in mechanical engineering and have owned a '66 Tbird for 25 years. But I could use a little help. First, I've noticed people throwing around terms like "vintage" and "classic" when referring to parts. What is the '74 2002? Second, where do you guys for parts? My wipers just started staying on all the time, so I'm assuming the windshield wiper stalk/switch needs to be replaced. For something like that I'd like to buy a new one. Suggestions? Third, the most pressing need is to re-upholster the front seats and install a new carpet set. Suggestions? Also, any suggestions on a reputable mechanic for when I get stumped? I live in Huntington Beach. I love the sound my 390 V-8/4 bbl Holley Tbird produces cruising around, but I'm having a blast running around in the light, nimble 2002 4-banger. Hope to run across you guys sometime! Aeroboy
