Original seat height was too low, since all the horsehair padding had crumbled like shredded wheat cereal. BMW seat rails are mounted off center on the Volvo seats, to center the seat behind the steering wheel. One oddity of this installation is that the seat-back recline is still electric. I have mounted the original seat adjustment switches under the seats.
