4.float switch

in pic 4 you an see the little nub in the center of the hat.

My hat was loose so it bobbled around making contact and causing the warning light to flicker.

I set the bottom of the plunger on my vice and tapped the nub with a hammer to tighten it up.

Alternatives would be a new reservoir cap,
