For SALE section

Recommended Posts

I was in the for sale section today and I was wondering what you guys thought about this. Whenever I post several items for sale I put them all in one post. I dont make a post for each item.

I think its kind of selfish because then when someone puts up 3 or 8 items they take up half the for sale page and the stuff you posted the 2 hours before is down the page.

I thought this must have been part of the forum etiquette but I guess not.

I agree. Put all your stuff together, or bundle it somewhat, put all motor parts in one, all body parts in one, etc. This whole 15+ posts just for one guys items gets pretty ridiculous!

Put them on a photo dump site and list it here once with the link.

I check all posts but sometimes am in a hurry and have to come back later only to scroll through multiple listings from the same guy.

Why not dump them on a (FREE) photobucket or flicker account with CLEAR, HIGH RES pics with various close ups and PRICES.

That eliminates a million questions and the request for close up pics or better pics & what you need price wise for the item...

If it doesn't sell there must be a reason. IE: too high of a price or it may be junk. Don't keep re posting to get it on top of the list.

Advertise elsewhere if you have to re post ten times with the same result. No sale.

I agree.

Post all the things you have for sale in 1 post.

It seems to be the same ones over and over who post a single post for a single item.

Good suggestion.

I agree, but I wouldn't be opposed if someone made a separate post for a "special" item or something that may generate a lot of subsequent posts.

If the Seller would delete his SOLD posts it would help.

Unfortunately, there's always one............or two.

Here's another suggestion:

Put a freaking price that you want for the damned thing in the description too.

If you're putting stuff in the "For Sale" section, and accepting offers, put the damned parts on Ebay with a starting bid of $1 and let people "offer" away.

While I'm on a roll,

Put the location of where the items are at also. Something that I need would be worth more to me if it is a 10 minute drive away instead of on the West Coast, Egypt, or elsewhere.

I like to be searchable. I will post how I see fit, per the part. But as much as I hate to say it, I'm thinking eBay because I got tired of hearing about it.

If it's a batch of non wear, common parts. Post in a lump. If it's a specific and/or unusual item, post individually. That's what I say.

You cannot delete them, but you can always eddit them and add SOLD to the title.

And while we are at it, how about the folks who post in the "for sale" section, only to find that they are only plugging their eBay auction. I think if its for sale, it has a price on it. We all know how to search on eBay, there is an eBay link right here on the FAQ and we don't need to see another plug. BTW this goes 10X for cars for sale.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
