Carpet kits

I have a set from them but haven't installed it yet. Quality is not as good as it could be, but decent for the price. Esty here on the board makes sets that look a lot nicer.

the carpeting looks pretty thin, and I haven't seen a blue kit from her yet. Are they complete sets? I need everything - front, rear, center console, etc.

the sets i have are full & complete replacement sets...check out some of the treads at THIS LINK for pictures of most sets that i've made and sold

i also have new consoles (search consoles for pics), trunk boards, trunk mats, rear seat delete kits, shift boots and maybe a bunch of other stuff i've forgotten about

i have several blue sets ready to go in a car...email me if you have any questions

Esty,

Did you ever think about selling your carpets on the FAQ store? It seems like it would be easier than having to post sets all the time?

just a thought so other FAQers could find your sets if they don't follow the F/S thread.

The Only '02 kit looks pretty good, all I can say from my experience, is that make sure you go with a multi peice kit, not a 1 piece.

My experience with a 1 piece kit has been terrible, as have others.

Finally, make sure and use some sound deadening material under the jute. Dynamat or similar, worth the money in the same way functional door brakes are!

i don't even think about the 'stores'...i'd guess that about all i could do would be post a few pics as examples and a price range...as most are aware, to keep the prices as low as possible, the prices, generally, per set are based on my costs rather than trying to establish a fix'd price...

i'll have to take a look....good suggestion...thanks mister

I'm just finishing up putting a set of Esty's carpets in my 73 automatic. Looks great and the quality is there. It took some time to adjust to fit. It's a lot like cutting a pattern for a dress and putting it together (not that I've every done it). But she makes a quality product.

Esty's carpet kits are a good value proposition. Love my salt and pepper kit. Don't get me wrong, I'd love German wool, but this is my daily driver that has to hold up to two teenagers.

I don't know about the install. My upholstery guy did mine for me. Said it was 99% simple and 1% pain in the ass--didn't ask for details.

BTW, I'm glad she is not posting them to the store. I got to pick my trim color. She had to make me a set for my automatic and I didn't get charged a penny until it was ready which was ahead of schedule. She's a crafts-person, honest, selling a decent product. I prefer this over my FAQ Store order for belt line clips that took 3 weeks, no communication and I'm only 8 miles from the shipping site.

You have a point, but she can work it where her store has a description of her products and offerings; like custom carpet kits. I'm sure something could be worked out with the admins. I just think it would be worth looking into. People would know where to find her kits without having to search the F/S threads.

Personally I would like to see a lot more parts being offered in our stores. It just seems like all the stuff that's there has been there with no new updates. Lately, I see carpet, seat belts, rechromed bumpers, etc. all being offered in the F/S section and some of them get repeated almost as a reminder. Having them in a store seems like they would be easier to manage.

Just my thought, sorry you had a bad experience with your order, I would have thought there would be more liability on the part of the vendor to get that to you quickly since it is reflected on the FAQ. I wouldn't blame the store feature, just the vendor.

BTW, sorry to hijack this thread...

Yah, door brakes.... You know the things that keep your door from flying wildly open? If yours are broken as tends to happen on these cars a new set makes your car feel virtually 110% lot better. It's the simple things.

Dynamat is definitely the caddilac of the class of products, there are others out there that are cheaper and probably work as well, but you want something similar. Then install a decent quality carpet jute available at any car upholstery shop.

The install the carpet of your choice! Since I have no experience on the ones that are currently available I can't reccomend 1 kit over any others. I used the 1 piece on a previous car which lasted only until I could afford a good multipeice set that's NLA.

I fear for the day I will have to do mine, on this car, may have to either have my local upholstery guy make a set which would be big bucks or beg somebody I know who has the patterns to make just 1 more.
