remove/replace seal on steering box?

From my experience the steering box has 2 seals and 1 gasket.

You may as well replace everything to avoid future leaks.

To begin, remove the 4 screws and 1 adjustment nut at the top.

You will also need to remove the pitman arm (puller) to replace on of the seals. Taking it apart is straightforward and assembly is just the opposite.

***Adjust the steering box while it is out of the car. Most people adjust the nut while its in the car thinking the steering box is loose. Most of the time there is "play" in the steering linkage and the steering box does not need adjustment.
