Machine Shop in Hollywood or nearby?

I noticed Steve-O's post asking for SoCal machine shop recommendations. I am not in that area but I had a similar question asked of me regarding Hollywood, Santa Monica or Culver City areas. The party asking is an old timer who has never owned a computer and his newest car is probably a '75 (600sl)

There must be some decent machine shops in those areas, or are they all gone?

Thanks in advance for Oscar.

Thanks. I will pass it on. Does TEP have its own machine shop facilities or do they send the work out to another shop?

I probably should have been more specific since I know North Hollywood is in the San Fernando Valley. Any decent machine shops on the west side? Oscar lives in an area I think is called Mar Vista.

Thanks again for the quick response.

See if L.A. Machine is still going. They used to do all our Maserati and Alfa hotrod stuff.

Is LA Machine on Venice? Oscar says he knows of them but I get the feeling he had some issues. I have no idea.

He says he remembered using a shop also on Venice somewhere near an area he calls the the old Helms bakery. He liked them a lot but can't find them, so he thinks they closed or moved. He says there used to be a lot of shops that did restoration work on his 30's and 40's cars - off of Lincoln, but they have disappeared? Same with shops in Culver City and Melrose.

I will forward this info. His kids ought to be able to help him.

I have made the effort and so have you fellas by responding.

Thanks.

And there used to be a racetrack in Beverly Hills......

Please don't say that. I was planning on calling an 800 Ticket Service and buying season tickets. Next you are going to tell me hi test is more than 25 cents!

I heard Nuvolari is driving for Alfa and Oldfield is thinking about retirement.

You are a spoil sport!
