CUP HOLDER SOLUTIONS?

Any creative locations for cup holders? I am looking at locating one in the center shift console before the parking brake.

I am looking at using a pop out one from a newer 3/5 series out of the front dash.

Pixs would be helpful.

Here is the one from the rear seat of an e36. I think it could be mounted in the center console.

I've found that a 12 oz can in a thick foam coozie fits just right between the e-brake handle and the side of my Scheels.

Having learned to drink and drive in a '69 Beetle (no cup holders either) I mastered the art of shifting gears without not getting my crotch wet early on.

Paul is right. It's best to get your crotch wet later on.

Here is one that is sold as a "soft cup" for about $5 at auto parts stores. It has a clip and hook that can be attached with a trim screw. It's a great size for drink cans and bottles, cell phones, etc.

Try a Camelbak attached to the back of your seat, and the tube going directly to your mouth. What works for bikers should work for 02ers ...

I found a cup holder that folds up and flips out on Amazon a while back.

Haven't gotten to it yet but i was going to attach it to the passenger side of the console.

I LOVE the audi idea though. nice work.

Not if you are a roadie. :^)

I use my bike water bottles and wedge them between the seat and the parking brake handle.

I was also able to find a small cooler that fits right behind the drivers seat.

if you're looking for serious functionality, here's the way to go.

I like the cluster mounted on the passenger side floor, it's very different yet high tech.

Adore that minimalist look for the shifter too...

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
