A little info on HondaN600.net, and maybe more on ThisOldHonda.com or .org.

Is the AZ the sportier, coupe model? Therer was one that showed up at the start of the Alpine years ago. I think Norm may know who.

MY CURRENT PROJECT IS A MESSERSCHMITT TIGER TG-500 REPLICA

AND THE DRIVETRAIN I AM USING IS FROM A HONDA 600 .

THIS WILL BE DOING THE SAME JOB BUT WILL BE IN THE BACK OF MY CAR .

I FIND THEM TO BE QUITE INTERESTING MECHANICALLY AND NICE ONES CAN BE WORTH GOOD MONEY NOW .

ONE SOLD FOR $27,500 AT THE B-J AUCTION YESTERDAY !

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=50&aid=304

36 HORSES ARE PLENTY TO MOVE THEM AROUND . THEY ARE A VERY USEABLE MICROCAR

WITH GOOD SUSPENSION , FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND FRONT DISC BRAKES .

THE SHIFTER IN THE DASH IS A FUN ARRANGEMENT .

SAVES SPACE , I GUESS .

THE COOLING FAN IS A NOVELTY . ANY OTHER AIR COOLED CAR

BLOWS THE AIR THROUGH THE MOTOR BUT THE LITTLE HONDA

SUCKS IT IN FROM THE BACKSIDE !

THIS IS DONE WITH A MULTI PLANE TWISTING BELT ARRANGEMENT

WHERE THE BELT GOES AROUND CORNERS .

THIS MUST BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED .

SAVES SPACE , I GUESS .

ANOTHER INTERESTING MECHANICAL ASPECT IS THAT THE CAMSHAFT

IS DRIVEN BY A CHAIN THAT RUNS IN BETWEEN THE TWO CYLINDERS .

SAVES SPACE , I GUESS .

THERE IS NO DISTRIBUTOR , JUST A SET OF POINTS THAT FIRES TWO PLUGS AT THE SAME TIME ,

THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE BMW 600 , 700 AND OPPOSED TWIN BIKES .

SAVES SPACE , I GUESS .

THE MOTOR , TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL ARE ALL HOUSED

TOGETHER IN COMMON CASTINGS . SAVES SPACE , I GUESS .

10 INCH TIRES ARE GETTING HARD TO FIND . ASK AN ISETTA OWNER .

THE Z COUPE HAS A CLEVER HATCH ON THE BACK FOR THE SPARE TIRE .

IT MUST SAVE SPACE OR SOMETHING .

WITH ALL THIS SPACE SAVING , YOU END UP WITH A LOT OF NEAT LITTLE CAR IN A REALLY SMALL PACKAGE .

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
