hello agian everyone.

i was wondering about my exhaust i have a magnaflow muff on the back end and headers its pretty much str8 pipes. i once had a glass pack on there and when i would be in gear and let up off the gas it would pop and make banging noises.

what could cause that?

i have a 86 yota with a glass pack on there and it does that when i release the gas in gear.

on my car i got a magnaflow and it cut it down a little bit but im just wondering what could cause that

is it good?

bad?

thanks.

when i had my '76 i had this problem really bad. i got pulled over by the cops because they thought it was a gun shot lol. had something to do with my cali smog parts, and my mechanic told me i could cut a belt to what i think was the air pump to stop the poping.

don't know if this helped at all but i thought it might.

Cheers from the German!!!

no matter WHAT you have after the exhaust port -

if you have the tiniest air leak at any of the pipe connections -

you'll FAHRT undPOPP!

lousy clamping, poorly fitting pipe sleeving,

leaking manifold gaskets, emission control air injection

malfunction of check valves-diverter valves, and

more air leaking connections related to that system,

you'll have FAHRTink und more POPPIng

Cut down the Magnaflow? You mean the muffler itself or just the inlet and outlet pipes?

Ohhhhhh, cut down on the noise. I'm on the same page now .

A center resonator (which isn't too expensive) will make your car sound even better than it does now. OR you can add another Magnaflow in the resonator position, that's basically what the Ireland Engineering exhaust set up is . Free flowing, but not very loud.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
