Windshield wiper refills...(the rubber parts)

Noticed how they seem to have disappeared from auto parts stores? All they have now are complete blades--and they're all black--not a silver one in sight. And they're $10-15 vs $4-5 for refills.

Anyone know of a source of refills for our wiper blades (13 & 15 inch) plus larger ones for our modern cars?

Mike,

I have noticed the same thing going on for a couple of years now. I have had some luck with Advance Auto for 13 inch Trico refills for the Volvo 1800ES and 15 inch occasionally for the 02. They are getting harder to find and Bosch are simply not available. Wanted to get refills for the M Roadster in order to keep the wiper arms and the integral airfoils..ended up buying the Bosch Icon as they do not look out of place on a late model. At least the 13 and 15" full blades are still available from Bosch.

Had to go Trico 15" for Gunther. The blade holders are also Trico. Luckily our local car parts store still carries the refills for just a few bucks.

Check out these babies. Not exactly the best wipeing performance, but usable. LOL!

Bosch ICON blades are noticeably better than anything else I have used (altho a bit pricey).--Jim

I'll second this. I installed them on our Tahoe. Good stuff. The Rain-x helps too.

i haven't seen silver ones in years. i buy the black ones and spray them silver (r/r the inserts of course). unfortunately i have to remove a piece of metal on the top of the blade near the wiper arm mounting point with a dremel, so the blade sits flush against the windshield, prior to painting.

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
