Are the studs that connect the exhaust manifold to the downpipe the same studs that connect the manifold to the head? I haven't been able to find "down pipe studs" anywhere on the internet, and figured it's because they're the same as head studs.

07 11 9 909 117 is 10x1.5 thread 25mm long and the original '02 #

11 62 1 711 671 are 35mm....

11 62 1 716 870 are 40mm...

I like the 35mm ones.....

Also only use the copper exhaust nuts... I like the 15mm wrench size pinch ones rather than the cheap 14mm head ones. # 18 30 1 737 774

The cheap ones can bind and strip threads when removed!

Oh, and use good copper anti seize on all exhaust threads!

Ah, I have also seen warped downpipe flanges that will not seal up no mater how many times one replaces the gasket and nuts.....

I suggest placing a straight edge on said flange once off to check for flatness. If not flat..... easiest way to fix it is to replace it.
