Pre-loading question

OK, I read my old post. A gentleman says that you do not pre-load the guibo but you do preload the center support. How do you pre-load the center support? I had planned on mounting the shaft to the guibo, then mounting the shaft to the diff, then mounting the center suport...is this the correct sequence

I'm not as dumb as I look

you just bolt everythign up, and then slide the center support forward 2mm before snugging it down. Or up.

There's a CD pic for this one...

...yes - bolt up the guibo front, and rear diff joints first,

make sure the whole mess looks straight, meaning the guibo

does not 'flex' out of a straight line when rotated, and the final

tweek is 'preload' the center bearing rubber mount by sliding it

forward 2 ..3 mm and then tighten it up

another note never mentioned here is the importance

of the centering bushing inside the guibo end of the drive shaft

if yours is missing, chewed up, melted, your going to

continue chasing vibrations, and replacing guibos - pack

it with high temp moly-grease ( A ) as the diagram shows
