The front valance has rust and the bottom of the spare tire well has some rust holes in it. There is some rust around the pedal box. Nothing structural and shock towers look great

ENGINE:

NEW rebuilt motor a little over a year ago just hit 20k

-Weber 40 DCOEs

-Ross 9.5:1 forged racing pistons

-cylinders bored out 1mm over

-Stainless intake and exhaust valves (exhaust valves are 1mm bigger than stock)

-292 regrind cam from Ireland Engineering(IE)

-Head ported and polished

-Crankshaft was machined and polished

-IE step header into an Ansa exhaust system

IGNITION:

-Petronix electronic ignition

-MSD 6A box

-Rebuilt distributor tuned for engine setup

-MSD Spark Plug wires

DRIVELINE:

-Bilstein sport shocks

-IE stainless strut tower brace

Wheels:

-15 x 7 Rota RB Absolutely no rubbing

- 195/55 Cooper zeon zpt tires NEW in September 2008 along with the wheels. I did not use these on track so these tires are practically new.

Brakes:

-Stock- Just installed new pads after a track weekend

-Fluid just replenished

INTERIOR:

-Recaro sport seats - Blue Vinyl Looks NEW

-C.D player

-Gauges were sent out and re-built when engine was built

-WORKING odometer that was set to 00000 for the new engine

-Coco floor mats new in December 2008, Black with blue spots

-Dash has a crack in it

-Wood momo steering wheel

-Heater Box has been rebuilt with new cable, works great in the winter

-320i radiator

-odyssey battery under the rear seat

-New air filters

The car is very reliable, relativly fast for a 2002, drives great, starts right up every time, just does not like traffic of daily commuting (twin webers do not like stop and go traffic). It does great on the interstate or nice curvy roads, and is a blast on a track.

Thanks,

yea it has been over a year and half now but it is my only car, so its driven everyday, and also tracked every once in awhile but the car enjoys all of it.

North Hollywood Speedometer did the gauges, they are VDO specialist, and excellent to work with the turn around was very quick too. I believe it cost around $150 but that depends on the condition of your gauges.

The air cleaners are from the foam ones from TEP that go on the velocity stacks, these are the proper ones that do not sit at the opening of the stack but leaves a space for the stack to breathe, the only annoyance is the one on the third cylinder has clearance issues with the brake booster, still works but it just looks sketchy.

I will post some recent engine pics and better interior pics to better showcase the new condition of the recaros.

Some idiot backed into the car at the movies and left without saying anything. The damage is cosmetic and insurance is going to help fix it and I can also get the left quarter fixed as you can see in the pictures above it is bowed out.

Here are better pictures of the interior so you can see the new condition of the recaros.

do you have receipts? Do you think the car will make a cross country drive back to California, assuming you still have it?

do you have a video of it running?

very interested in this car.

Yes I have a box of receipts from previous owner and myself, I would not be scared driving it out to California, but would recommend being well prepared with common tools and fluids, the the engine is fresh and mechanicals well maintained but it is still an old car. It is great on the interstate but my longest interstate trip with it was only 3 hours.
