What is the correct bulb # for the front turn signals?

I got the sylvania 1157. They blink but my "B" on the cluster comes on once and the remains off.

US or Euro?

US = two filament (turn signal and running light)

Euro = one filament (turn signal only)

Bill other than the size of the lens..is there any way to tell?

Do you have US lens or Euro lenses with H4 headlights with the city light in the H4 housing.

Or - if you have the bulb out, you can see the filaments.

I am upgrading to euro h4 headlights with the new buckets and grilles.

I am taking a pair of US side turn signals for the frames and having clear flat euro lenses made. I am going to use the stealth bulbs that go from chrome to yellow when power is applied. I think the 1157 bulb is the correct one for my application.

Coordinated through Blunt but it is Ought2.

I just shipped off the frames to have the lenses made.

Front signal is dual-filament. Bayonet base with two solder blobs on bottom one for each filament (total two blobs of metal on base)....metal sides with two bayonet posts at same level is ground. 21watt and 5watt is a typical combination of wattages.

Geezer, that is for the US light, the euro one is a one filament bulb

Also, the square-lite cars (at least ' 75s & ' 76) have two seperate bulbs in the front turn signals - one for the running lite and one for the turn signal- both single filament.
