You mean aside from all the rust (inner wheel house, exterior wheel arch)?

Or shall we go for the obvious - how about those "expensive optional wheels" (from a 320i)?

An attached garage does not equal "climate controlled" storage.

It never ceases to amaze me how deceptive people can be by their photo selectivity. Many times you can reach an objective conclusion from what photos are NOT are shown. For this particular listing, most of the general shots (repetitive with obscuring snow flurries) are useless.

I'm intrigued by the placement of the fire extingusher.

KC - think you're correct - I believe it's now the car of a new member here in the NoVa area.

This is my listing gentleman. I found a new project that I would like to take over and unfortunately it made for a quick sale of this gorgeous car. If it sells, that's lovely and if it doesn't, it's a great car to keep, blast to drive and gets a lot of attention. Let me know if there are any questions.

It's very easy to spend $1000 and fill up the rust and repaint the car up and down, then positing it on ebay and none of it would show up to 12-18 months. It's not so easy to maintain a classic original paint in 30 years, waxing bi-monthly and washing the car. For an Original paint, this car is in immaculate condition. With 42 people watching the car on ebay after a first day of positing, I'm not too worried about the sale really. As as I said, I'm not pressed about selling the car. It's a blast to drive and makes for a great weekend toy. I just have too many cars right now though, looking to open up room for a new toy coming.

Mint? Are you kidding? That car is a rust bucket, I guarantee it. North east car with rusty shock towers, just the indication of bad rust lurking underneath. Where are the close up pictures of the rockers, floor panels, frame rails and under carriage? If I had bought that car on ebay and found out the rust (which I would with 99% probability) I would definitely ask ebay for a complete refund, which they would. Good luck getting what you are asking for, but you never know, there is a sucker born every minute, as they say. At least he/she wont' be a sucker from FAQ!

I haven't seen the car, but I don't know why everyone is so bitter? He seemed like he got a good deal and I think to be frank, 5500 for the condition of his car is very fair. There is no major rust anywhere, not again I'm going against the pictures. He has shown a lot of pictures in his ad and there is no reserve. I think it's a very fair asking price, given all the documents that come with the car and on an original paint.

Is fuel efficiency really what we need most desperately? I say what we really need is a car that can be shot when it breaks down.
