Crazy speedo man.

Speedometer not speedo, it's way too cold for that.

The other day my speedometer stopped working, when I began investigating I found that the set pin where the business end inserts into the transmission is missing.

I have been trying to find one and have looked in all the regular on-line spots.

Can anybody provide me with a lead on finding one or know what size it might be so I can source one locally.

Happy Holidays.

Anything you want, all you have to do is try.

I know the speedo drive gears are different between the automatics and the manuals, but this aspect may be the same. The bolt has a smooth end where it goes thru the recessed area in the side of the plastic drive housing, and threads only up under the head. Call someone like Carl Nelson, @ La Jolla Independent, and ask him. He'll know, and will have the correct bolt if you need it. His # is: 858/488-1555. These bolts have been known to work themselves out, so use some locktite when you replace it, and BMW calls for a wave washer under the head.
