Bored Air Filter Cover

So I was bored today and since I payed for registration insurance and my car Im pretty low on money and I decided to do something that took no money but time. I decided to strip the paint off this. I forgot who but I saw a guys 02 on the forum that colored his a sort of grey and it looks so sweet. Should I also strip the paint off the rest of the air filter "holder thing" ( I dont know what its called or just paint the top part (circle).

First.... Stop drinking, sober up, then and only then...

Take the cover sand it gently, blending and feathering any chips or scratches, wipe it with mineral spirits to remove any oil or grease, now wipe it with a tack cloth, place it on a good size piece of newspaper to catch any over spray and begin spraying with the paint you bought when you took the cover with you to the paint store, to make sure you were matching the original color.

Oh I need to do an oil change. Kragen offers a Fram Extra Guard Oil Filter, Bosch oil filter and an ACDelco one. Im not sure which one is best if they have differences in quality.

i dont know the pain # exactly, before i had it sand blasted i had a rattle can made with duplicate color that was under it since it was still shiny there.
