We're going nowhere fast.

I can go pretty fast on skis. To bad there are no big hills around here :-(

Reminds me of a storm back in the 70s when re got close to 3 feet, no school for a week!

I love that blizzard. We lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.. 1977. I walked to my friends house after a few days and fell through the top of the shrubs that lined his front yard.. I thought I was on the driveway!!

2002 newbie, and dead serious about it.

Snow started here 8pm Friday night. Right now, we have about 8" and more is forecast. They're talking up to 24" in certain places. The tii is safely in the garage up on stands ready for the tranny drop.

There have been many years when I wish I had bought a 4WD Toyota Extended cab Pickup (now Tacoma). I almost bought a Tundra when they first came out - now they are ugly and bloated.

TV News last night was funny. Everyone panicked and bought all of the pallets of 5 lb. sno-melt, shovels, sno-blowers, etc. (not to mention bread, milk, TP and BEER).

Not Me !

I look around for a big pile of salt that fell off a spreader truck. I found a few in the park and ride lot last week. I have 2, 5 gal buckets stashed away. ;-D

I'm not surprised Arden - always the opportunist. Have you bought another car lately???

Here are two old pictures from March 1983. One of the good storms for us (Woodbridge, VA).

The highway department uses a sand / salt mix, it's way better than the stuff in stores.

I was going to look at one today but driving is pretty tough but then again I could practice drifting! :-p

It took me +3 hours to get home from the Dulles area last night, normally a -1 hour. I picked up 3 Flexible Flyers, 1 30's vintage and 2 60's vintage.

+10 inches and counting!
