Where to get automotive wiring harness wire, multi color?

If you were to re-wire your car on your own (no painless kit), were the heck do you find multi color automotive wiring? It seems I can only find wiring in the primary colors, none of the black/yellow combo type wiring etc.

Pretty much just looking for a whole bunch of color combos so I could do a full custom re-wire and not have similar colors for everything wired up.

just visit your BMW dealer - every dealer

has a HUGE box with old wiring harness's

with pounds of any color, any gauge wire you need

just for the asking..... if you can cut a few lengths

or your local junque yard - any german, swedish car will do also
