engine and drivetrain E28 Engine question..

Would an E28 535is engine fit without much problem? There is a good deal that I can get for one on craigslist. Would this be as simple as lets say a 325 engine? Thanks for the help!

Hey there,

From what I've been told, the M30 (or "big six") engines from the e28's are bigger enough than the M20 (or "little six") to make the swap unfeasible.

Heck, I'm selling an E28 with a B35 head (out of an E34), and I'm selling the entire car WITH the running engine for only $475!!!

If the swap is doable, someone speak up!! I'll sell that bad boy here on the FAQ board!!

By the way, I'm in Marin... Not too far from Vacaville... ;-)

no - that motor (M30) weighs as much as the

02! and it's HUGE!! keep it in the body it

was intended for-

a bigarse sedan or coupe

it's doable with a huge amount of fabrication, but you'll end up with an understeering pig only good for a straight road. There's a UK triple webered Touring with this engine, and it's twin cam brother has also found it's way into the 02 shell.

m10 = 82kgs

m30 = 143kgs

hell no. Put it into a Bav or an E30.

Or get the M1 transmission and put it into the back seat of an 02!

THAT would be... noisy!
