AutoCheck or Carfax - Only 7 Digit Vins - History

How do you gentleman crack up some history on these cars? The vins are only 7 digit and both of my Carfax and Autocheck accounts won't take them in every time I enter them. I keep getting an error that there needs to be 17 digit vin. How can I find out the previous owners of the car, accident history, emission passes and fails and any other information on the car. I already have the built date etc... information.
