Cyliner head bolts Torque??

Hi again guys!.. I'm on the process of putting the head in. I have the torque spec on my Haynes says 65lb for the head bolts. The other one I found on the faq has stage 1 to 3. Which one do I follow? I am using Victor Reinz head gasket. Thank you

I used the 3 stage torque spec with the same gasket 7+ months ago.

So far, so good.

+1 on the 3 stage tightening method. Make sure you are using new head bolts and clean the holes in the block to remove the oil.

Follow good Victor's instructions. And when he says '25 to 35 degrees'

go to 35, if you have measuring devices that accurate. A timing wheel

from a hotrod shop works great.

They do work well.

You'll feel what I mean as you tighten- at the upper limit of the tightening

tolerance, you can feel that it's 'tight'.
