Rim Width/offset for 185-65 14" Rubber

Thanks Toby and Paul

I have a new set of 185-65 14"s and I wasn't sure about the width with bottlecaps. I have 195-60 14"s on it now and they rub inside on right hand tighe turns and on left hand turns in driveway approaches on the outside. Before I remove the strut spacers, they only rubbed on the tight righthand turns.

So I am changing size. That size looks good on the photo, Paul.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

I am running 195-65 14's on my E30 steel wheels. I believe they are ET 35 and i have no rubbing. I think these wheels look great and resemble the old alpina steels, further more, this tire size has an almost identical rolling diameter as the stock 13's so your speedo should stay in calibration.

That's nice. I simply don't care whether your 195s rub or not, mine do and I am fitting 185's. The question wasn't about running 195s!

Well excuse me but you also asked what wheels/offset people were running. One could fit 185's to my wheels if they liked and they could be certain they wouldn't rub if they don't rub on 195's. The ET is 35 the width of the rim is 6 inch i believe.

185/65's are actually a really nice fit on an '02. The e30 BBS RZ's in a 14x6.5 with a 30mm offset will fit that tire nice and square.

There's also a huge selection of tires available in that size.
