What is required to sell a pre 75 car? Registration and a bill of sale?

Alabama wants to kno the car was sold with a current registration. Something about not skipping owners. Are u selling in AL?

Naw, I bought one. Last register in 06 I think. No title just a registration with it. it is a 67.

I would think if you have a bill of sale and the title you'd be ok in AR. Does the car have a title?

Not from AL. I do have the original title but only some smaller pieces of paper that look like registration forms for AL. I'll try the bos with the registration stuff.

Shouldn't matter what AL needs, you have the title and bos. Hopefully from the same person. It's up to AR re. the registration stuff. Lord knows you should be very familiar with the AR DMV ;-)

Yeah. Whatever is required in the state the car is registered in, is what is required here. Don't need a notarized BOS though!

For out of state purchases registering in AL we need 3 things:

1)title or title app for the seller

2)bos (no notary needed)

3)and proof of current registration.

All must have the exact same names for the seller and buyer. Any deviation brings a shit storm of bureaucratic tsk's down on you.

Again, I don't think AR will care about the registration.

I already had. I just want to drive it this spring. I have a notebook full of stuff for the car. It is the 2000c. Dog slow, all original and about to get some aftermarket wheels. I don't want to loose a hupcap off the old girl.
