Stub Axle install help

Hi Everyone

I'm in the garage right now trying to re-install new stub axles in my rear trailing arm. I've got new bearings and everything. When I try to insert the stub axle into the trailing arm it only goes as far as the splines and then wont' go any further. Do I need to hammer it in with a dead blow? Is it the wrong size stub axle? I order them from Bavauto. Could the spacer inside be an incorrect size.

Please help, I've taken the day off to work on the car and I'm already dead in the water.
