Alpina A3S Carburator Manifold...

Hey does anyone know what manifolds did Alpina use on the A3S Cars?

On the old archive photos it looks like the BMW original manifolds used in the Ti's that I suppose they must have ported to match the 45DCOE's, the thing that throws me off I that I've also seen them using the A4 Manifold that is just one piece instead of the 2 piece BMW one...

Alpina experts out there, tell me what you think...

Alpina used many different things, probably whatever was on the shelf at the time they were building something. I have seen, as you show, Alpina specific intake manifolds for carbs and ti manifolds in old Alpina pics.

The Alpina B2 motor intake for triple webers (or solex) on the M30 used ti manifolds. I have that set up for my CSL, but never put it on.....

now: '72 Inka 2000 touring, '82 Alpina C1 2.3  & '18 328d wagon (daily driver)

before: a lot of old BMWs (some nice, some not so much), a few air-cooled 911s and even a water-cooled Cayman S

In the "early" days they (ALPINA) used the BMW manifold(s) from the BMW 1600/2002ti model cars. Early 70's they had their own manifold(s) made which were similar to the factory manifolds only they had their "ALPINA" logo cast into each one (between the ports on the flat portion). The bridge manifold was used on the A3-S / 4 which was the three series (316/318/320 model). Likely it was also used on individual motors and sold as a separate part to be used with whatever you wanted.
