URO Windshield gaskets

Had bought a windshield gasket and the fillings last year and has been in the box since, waiting for body work, paint, new headliner and then new front windshield.

Body work done as of tonight, Paint Saturday, headliner early next week, new windshield late next week. tonight I was checking and the gasket is made by URO.

Had been searching archives on windshields and found where people were bashing the URO gasket and how it had no corners, cheap, etc.

This one has corners and look good. Just wonder if anyone else had sucess using the gasket made by URO.

The windshield is not EOM but made by Pilkington

thanks and appreciate any feedback.

I'm not crazy about Uro seals, but the Pilkington windshield I used could not have fit better. The Pilkington windshield was about .040"thinner (and lighter) than the OEM one and I think it would not have sealed properly without the lock-strip. When it was all done, it worked out great. Although I ended up using an OEM seal, the Uro seal I received was designed to be used without the Gator-tooth clip. You might have to remove that if you have an early car (up to about 1971)

Good luck

No amount of skill or education will ever replace dumb luck
