New Motor (post break-in) - What oil?

My motor was completely rebuilt/modified (larger displacement, EFI, etc). I have 1000 miles on the original oil. What's the best choice synthetic oil that I should stick with? Redline? What weight? I live in Florida.

i think any big name synthetic will serve you well. i find my s14 consumes less oil when i run 20/50 amsoil than Mobil1 and someone explained why to me but i forgot it already. i originally swapped because of the zinc additives amsoil uses. but i think clean oil is more important than a particular brand

It appears to be a little late, but for others on this board, you probably should have changed your oil and filter at 10 miles, 600 miles, then after another 1500 miles, then you can go to a 3K interval. The oil thing has been hashed-to-death on here, but personally, I'm now using Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil, 20W/50, because of the zinc content.
