SoCal Vintage BMW Drive/BBQ and Meet Updates

Drivers,

After a few fire delays, we're going to have our mountain drive and bbq this Saturday Oct 3 at 9AM, in Castaic (details via email after RSVP). We'll drive the area and then head back down to John Barlow's for a bbq. If you've already registered for the meet, this is a free bbq, if not please register at socalvintagebmw.com, or we as a $10/person donation (we rather have you registered for the meet!)

Also, given how bad the food situation was last year, it was very important for us to get that nailed down this year we've got a great situation. The guys that drive the gourmet Korean BBQ truck, Kogi BBQ (kogibbq.com) will be at our event offering some really great lunch options. Go to their website and check them out, we hear their short ribs taco is beyond beyond.

We're at the point of finalizing tshirt and goody bag item orders and it seems that a lot of drivers that are planning to attend have not registered yet. If you are planning to attend or think you're likely to be there Please please register as soon as possible - it really helps us tremendously to have a better idea of hard numbers so we have enough food, tshirts and goody bags. We really appreciate all of your support and you being registered helps us to bring you the best event possible - thanks again.

See you guys Saturday.

Jeff & John

OK..... Just my 02 cents here.....

The "given how bad the food was" bit is about the SoCal Vintage show last year, not my wifes cooking at last years Drive & Q!

This year, the BBQ will be simple, [we haven't sold those touring taillights yet on eBay, and we need all the money we can get for crack :) see post a few up] Please let us know how many of you are coming this weekend though, I really don't want to buy food and drinks for 50 people and have 10 show, or the other way around, which may be much worse!

The drive will be amellowish one, not a 33 run, but the day will be a good one. Alexis and I hope to see you on Saturday!

LOL about the crack part. Hopefully I plan on coming down for the drive and I am glad this one will be mellow since I am barley breaking in my "Smokey" front brakes if you remember from the last time!

My wife just told me that she and my daughter will be attending a girl scout event at woodley park same day at 1 pm.. jeez man I can't even have some "Quality time" with my buddies alone. Looks like I will have the two boys at the show while they are doing the girly stuff. Thats cool I am glad both my sons are car nuts so that should be OK. I just hope to God that we don't get invaded by the LA Girls scout kids running around the park...

Drivers,

I apologize for asking this again, but I;ve just gotten back from a 3500 mile road trio through NoCal, OR and WA, and I've not been as organized as I'd like from the road. I'd like to get a head count for this Saturday's drive/bbq, I know a few of you confirmed, but if you can please reconfirm vai email, that would make it easier for us to nail down food, etc. Just a reminder, if you've already registered for next month's Meet, the bbq is a freebie, so if you haven't already, please go and register. Otherwise, we ask a $10/person donation.

Yes, my bad, the food last year at THE MEET was poor, the food at the BBQ was fabulous, Alexis (and John sometimes) is the bomb!

We'll assemble at 8:30 and leave about 9, so please be on time as best you can.

Again, thank you for your indulgence and please let us know today if possible if you are making it Saturday, thanks.

Jeff (& John)
