Ive noticed that the past two days ive driven my car that the Yellow light above the turn signal, the oil pressure light, has started to come on when I slow down from speeds above 45.

I push the clutch in to stop a stop light or stop sign, the and the yellow light comes on, and then goes out once i start moving again. It still seems to run/idol fine.

Also, it has been running REALLY rough in the mornings when I first start it up, but when i push the gas a little after about 45secs of running it will go back to normal running. I i do not push the gas, it will cut out and make a bunch of ruckus.

I recently replaced the oil sending unit... What should I check to fix this?

BTW this is a 72 tii.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!

What should I check to fix this?

You should check the oil pressure.

Low oil pressure at idle can point to excessive wear and loose tolerances. Meaning, it may be time for a new bottom end. Especially if you changed out that sender due to the light flickering.. Get an oil pressure gauge on it asap and see where its at.

Will do. I didn't change the sensor to stop the light from blinking.. It was leaking oil so I changed it... So how exactly do you check the oil pressure with a gauge? Ie: where do you put it?

did you replace the oil pressure sender with a stock unit? just a thought... i have a sensor in my s14 set to trigger my oil light if it drops below 18PSI.

i bought this sender specifically to do this. a stock sender typically triggers at 7PSI i believe. did this just start after changing the sender?
