Back To Bleeding Brakes, another problem

Following the advice by the experts, I decided to pull the calipers point the bleeder to the sky and and bled the remaining air.

Before I did that I thought that I better make sure that the banjo bolt that the lines are connected by were suitably tight enough to prevent any leakage as I move the caliper around during the venting.

Well now I have a small drip on the right rear while I had preasurized the brake system (15psi).

My questions are:

If there is no more drips after depreasuring the system, am I free and clear?

If not I am guessing that the crush washer on the bajo fitting are fully crushed beyond the bolt length, correct?

If that is the case pulling the caliper of and replacing the washers on the banjo fitting, do I have to bleed the entire system again or just the right rear caliper?

Like to get the wheels on and get some pics to you all.

Once again, thanks for all the help!

Justin

The question is not that we broke a few rules or took certain liberties with our female guests.

We did ;)

you need to fix the leak, 15psi ain't squat in a brake system

Before you open the system I would suggest you seal the reservoir with saran wrap under the cap (careful when removing to avoid fluid on paint). You should not have to worry about air into the rest of the system unless you let your fluid level get reduced to the point of air being pulled in. and that shouldn't be an issue for this relatively quick fix.

Like dhs said...15 psi is nothing compared to the pressure you initiate while standing on the brake pedal. Replace your copper or aluminum seals on your banjo bolt and try it again. Don't re-use the banjo seals! I'd bleed the whole system, but that's my opinion....

Cheers,
