WTB: Stock 3-spoke 2002 steering wheel

Recommended Posts

My PO put a 320i four-spoke on the car ... didn't care for it, so I put on a Prototipo as a replacement. I would also like a stock three-spoke in nice condition to appreciate Hans Stuck's large-wheel preference from time to time. Looking for the Euro-style (or is it early style) that has slits in the spokes (see pic).

i have what i believe you're referring to as "Euro-style"...it has the black metal spokes...the "fire" wheel is about as rare as italian blinkers...i have 2 of them but do not want to sell either

if interested in the "Euro-style" wheel, let me know and i'll try to find it and dust it off the next time i'm at the shop...

if you're interested, $150.00 + shpping

I'm not certain what the differences are other than cosmetic, but here is what the other 3-spoke wheel looks like (see pic), complete in this instance with lousy aftermarket covering. It has plastic spokes rather than metal ones.

Yes, I'm looking for the metal-spoke version that has chrome trim where the spokes meet the wheel. I've never actually seen one, but my guess (looking through my copy of the Ultimate Portfolio) is that this particular wheel was sold in European areas given pics from period car tests. Is your version wrapped in leather?

BTW, what's the "fire" wheel?

For $150, can I get a pic? ;)

What you're looking for is a TI steering wheel. It's very skinny, leather wrapped and was never available in the US. There were at least two variations, an early one with a flat center and a late one with a groove in the center ('71).
