Gentlemen please assist me... I dont want to paint the brake lines then after I have issues then I'm told "You shouldn't have painted them"...

Has anyone painted their (metal)brake lines and had good results ???

Peace and Thanx

From what I understand POR 15 is used to "Paint Over Rust". Not sure it will work for new metal.

It will go over new bare metal but they must be etched with acid or Metal Ready or something like that.

If your lines aree new I wouldn't paint them cause they look nice. Maybe clear them.

Wait, I see you sanded them down. Don't get the POR 15 in the fitting.

Thank you gentlemen,one more question...

Will I have issues with heat not dissipating thru the metal lines or am I thinking too much ???

There isn't any real heat in the brake lines.
