Seal between MC and booster?

all - I need help with conflicting information. I am reassembling the brakes on my 72 usa car. the parts book shows no seal between the mc and the booster, yet the haynes manual clearly shows an o-ring on the mc to seal it to the booster. what gives? I can't imagine a vacuum leak free seal without a gasket, but.... thanks, tom

It's actually a D-shaped ring. The p/n is 34314650345 and it's only $3 or $4 so it might be better to get the actual part rather than a generic O-ring. Send BLUNT an email (steve@blunttech.com) and I'm sure that he can get you one quickly.

Good luck!

Don't tell anyone, but RTV works there, too.

Not that I'd recommend it or anything...
