Booster/Adjustment

Just installed a new used brake booster and now the car idles a lot higher than before. Does every booster function differently and idle adjustment will be needed or did I just install a bad booster? If I disconnect the vacuum line from the booster the car idles normally.

A bad booster with a vacuum leak would make the idle lower. Could your old booster have been bad and you adjusted the idle higher to compensate? Then when you replaced it the new booster had no leak and idle became normal/higher?

Thats a good call. The one that was just removed was the original and now that I recall I think I might have adjusted the idle
