Hi All,

I was looking through the little hole on the bell housing for the timing marks and I do not see a bb, I did see a "T" when the cam and distributor are at their TDC marks, what gives?!? The car has a 5 speed in it, is there some other flywheel with a "T"?

Thanks for your help, it is GREATLY Appreciated!

yeah...the elusive flywheel BB.

I read..maybe in here somewhere...that if you CAREFULLY insert a coat hanger while it's running...just enough to skin the top of the wheel, it can abrade the steel BB enough to reveal it.

In fact, it worked for me.

Well, if you found the T,

slowly and carefully roll the engine backwards a few degrees,

and keep lookin'. And then roll it back a bit more, and look some more.

It's probably there.

Me, I'd paint that T bright orange and get an advance timing light...

The yellow line is the "T" you refer to

The red mark is the BB. I paint red with a white back ground so I can see it. I paint the edge of the flywheel to highlight the paint.
