I have a 72 and my drivers side seat belt has locked up for good. What's the best way of disabling the fasten seat belt system? I pulled the fused for now to stop the buzzing but my temp/gas guage are on the same circuit.

Just remove the cover on the warning light and then the base. The buzzer is located under the base. You will also want to remove the light bulb or just disconnect the wires.

Let's see, I removed the dash and replaced it with one that didn't have the seat belt sign. I also pulled all the wire out and replaced it. You can probably attain the same end with less effort. I over reacted!
