Temp time switch and engine block coolant plug

I have two questions.

Where is the plug in the engine block to drain coolant? My Haynes manual simply states that it is on the right hand side of the engine. I can find the right side of the engine (LOL) but can't seem to find the plug.

Searched the forum but don't have a clear answer. I have a temperature time switch, located next the to coolant temp sender in the twin branch housing. What is the temp time switch for? My car originally had A/C.

Thanks.

I just did my coolant flush for the first time a few days ago. Its a 19mm bolt under the exhaust manifold/header depending what you got. Same side as the oil drain plug only its deeper in and somewhat higher. Hope that helps. Make sure you use Redline Water Wetter.
