I already have the plastic boot that goes around the shifter. I am looking for the black leather one. I am not sure if it matters that I have a short shifter kit on the 5 speed transmission. does anyone have one to sell or know where i can find one. I have searched all over the internet.

Sorry - it's my only one installed in the car. I purchased the correct rubber accordian one but it pulls my shifter out of 2nd and 4th.

You could probably make one if you know someone who sews.

Note the plastic ring with tabs that is glued to the boot. This secures it to the console.

The rubber accordian type boots require a metal ring which attaches to the shift console with (4) screws. The boot snaps over the ring.

No markings anywhere on mine.

I just got some hand-me-down Roundels from 1984 and 2002 (thanks to Dave R!) and noticed the leather shift boots may have been popular in the Eighties.

From the 11/84 Roundel:

Beaconwood Motors Ad in Watertown, MA ($ 19.95 for their leather shift boot)
