Tiger75 6 April 22, 2009 On my 74 Tii there is a metal loop mounted just behind the Krugelfischer. It is mounted on the same bracket that holds the dip stick. There is a rubber grommet that goes in the loop. What hose or cable is supposed to go thru this loop? The brake booster hose seems tto big. Is it a fuel line? Thanks
JR 0 April 22, 2009 maybe the cable from battery to starter?

randerson 7 April 22, 2009 The engine picture shows a "J" shaped bracket (hanger) bolted between tubes 3 & 4 on the bottom bolt. What attaches to this hanger? Randy Anderson
kris 118 April 22, 2009 You peaked my curiosity, so I went out and looked at my motor. I have nothing on that clip and nothing too close that looks like it belongs there.
randerson 7 April 22, 2009 Thanks for looking. I was wondering if we were taking about the same clip. Randy Anderson
kris 118 April 22, 2009 Thanks for looking. I was wondering if we were taking about the same clip. Randy Anderson It doesn't look like Keith Kreeger put that clip on his motor...as it's not shown in any of his very detailed pics of the reassembly of his motor http://www.my2002tii.com/spring_2005/engine.htm
jgerock 1,881 2 Vehicles April 23, 2009 You peaked my curiosity, so I went out and looked at my motor. I have nothing on that clip and nothing too close that looks like it belongs there. My guess is the clip hanging under the # 4 runner secures the fuel return hose from the back of the KF pump (also secured to the vertical throttle body bracket). The bolt-on round bracket w/grommet from the dipstick secures the positive battery feed to the starter (keeps it away from the air cleaner).
Groundhog 0 April 23, 2009 Courtesy of Bill Holmes, this bracket holds the fuel line from the fuel filter to the fuel injection pump. It makes a pretty loop. (bottom 2 pictures)
jgerock 1,881 2 Vehicles April 23, 2009 We seem to have moved from back to front in this thread. 1) Cable clamp at # 4 intake tube: Unconfirmed 2) Round eyelet bracket is for battery to starter cable. 3) Wire at KF pump makes a "loop" in fuel line from fuel filter
