tii Big Brake Questions

I have the '80 528i calipers and the tii strut housings.

What years of 320i hubs do I need?

Is the '77 320i rotor a one-year only deal? (will the '78 or '79 work?)

What bearings and seals do I need? (tii, 320i?)

Thanks,

The FAQ is not clear on these items and I didn't find anything in the archives.

I think if you're going with TII struts, you want everything from the '77 320i, but if the part numbers are the same for '78 and '79, those parts will work as well. Seals, rotors, hubs, etc., all from the '77 320i.

When I did mine, I used the hubs, bearings, seals and rotors all from a 77'. Worked perfect!

Considerable time and energy went into them. Why are you making your life so hard?

Maybe because they don't have all the info. Take a look at my questions, then check the FAQ. Maybe an update to the FAQ would be helpful. Your reply certainly isn't.

Rotors must be off a '77 320i PN 34 11 1 119 112

Bearings are used on the 2002tii and the 320i (as well as early 5 series) PN 31 21 1 468 890 (inner), 31 21 1 468 888 (outer), 31 21 1 634 108 (seal)

Hubs need to be '77 or '78, there was a change at some point in early 1979
